The standalone Fast & Furious themed DLC for Forza Horizon 2 is going to be made temporarily be free until April 10th 2015. After that, however, there will be a cost of $10. Though it’s still a standalone game that doesn’t require Forza Horizon 2 in any capacity.

Fast & Furious themed standalone Forza Horizon 2 DLC is free from now until April 10th on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious is a game that’s centered in the Fast & Furious universe. The story itself has no connection to the movie itself, though it’s designed to help bring attention to the upcoming Furious 7 movie that arrives in a theater near you on April 3rd.

Within the standalone Fast & Furious DLC, you’ll be recruited by an in universe character, Tej Parker, who wants you to go about and collect 10 cars. These cars will be the same ones that are featured in the upcoming movie as well. To get these cars you’ll have to complete in and win a variety of challenges along the way.

“From the 900-hp 1970 Dodge Charger to an armored 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and more, each of the cars in the Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious standalone expansion is both stunningly accurate and amazingly fun to drive.”

If you’ve ever wanted to try Forza Horizon 2, or even be a part of the rich action featured in Fast & Furious, then now’s your chance to get behind the wheel of some very unique and quite powerful cars, all in the safety of your living room. It should provide an accurate simulation of driving these cars, though perhaps with a slightly “arcade” twist. So go check it out right now as it’s free to download on both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360.
