Thanks to the folks at Sammobile, we have already had the pleasure of seeing Android 5.0 Lollipop on top of the TouchWiz. Screenshots and videos of both Samsung Galaxy S5 and the previous year’s Galaxy S4 running the latest Android OS have been shared. However, officially, Android 5.0 Lollipop is still to come and adorn these two Samsung flagships. In the case of the enigmatic Android world, it doesn’t take too long for someone to come along and leak these precious firmware updates. So is the case with Samsung Galaxy S5 lollipop update too – luckily for you Android fans.

Sprint Galaxy S5 receives Lollipop:

As always, it is the devs at XDA sharing the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5. So far only the Sprint variant has been leaked carrying the official TouchWiz-ed Android 5.0 Lollipop for Galaxy S5. The firmware won’t work with any other variant or carrier, so the treat is strictly for Sprint consumers.

If you happen to own Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 model SM-G900P, then today’s your day. Note that like other firmware leaks, this is an unofficial build and is expected to carry tons of bugs and performance issues. According to reports, all the important functions of the device are working properly, however, we will advise you to try it only if you are feeling adventurous and have previous experience of tackling with these issues.
