Sony offering free Identity Protection Service to all PSN consumers first year free
In the recent waves of PSN attacks Sony has decided to award loyal customers with a free identity service protection program, unlike PSN+ the service won’t last you a month or two but will instead last you a whole year! Quite generous of Sony to offer this service to all those affected by recent identity theft debacle.
The only credential required for customers to avail this service is to have a PSN account prior to April 20th 2011, so if you bought a PS3 while the PSN was down and are thinking of getting in on some of the freebie action you will be sadly disappointed.
To receive an AllClear ID PLUS activation code, please enter the email address used to register your existing PlayStation®Network or Qriocity account and click submit below.
(Please note: In order to be eligible, account holders must be residents of the United States with an active account as of April 20, 2011.)
AllClear ID PLUS is a premium identity protection service that uses advanced technology to deliver alerts to help keep you safe. The service also provides identity theft insurance coverage and hands-on help from expert fraud investigators. Sony has arranged, at no charge to eligible PlayStation®Network and Qriocity account holders, for twelve months of this service to be provided by Debix to those who choose to enroll.
Upon validation of the email address you submit, your personal activation code for AllClear ID PLUS will be sent via email.
(Please note: An email will not be sent if the email address you submit does not match an existing PlayStation®Network or Qriocity account, so please take care to enter the correct information.)
