“Through sketches and renders, we explored varying concepts for the Shadow of the Tomb Raider logo and key art”, read the studio’s description on a page on its website, which has now been pulled. “This process consisted of using the different pillars of the game as inspiration to accurately portray the brand”. The cached version of that page can be found here.

The early art clearly shows Lara is various poses wearing new weapons, including a small sword, machete, and a spear. Additionally, the art shows pyramids for Lara to explore.

Rumors about Shadow of the Tomb Raider began circulating the web when it allegedly leaked on the Montreal Subway last year. Kotaku’s Jason Schreier later confirmed the rumor to be true.

While the art appears legit, nothing has been confirmed about the next Tomb Raider game. As always, we will keep you updated in case we learn more.
