The Korean tech giant’s disaster with the Galaxy Note7 and recent troubles with its home country’s governments require a strong product launch. By the looks of things so far, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are all set to deliver on this. However, Samsung will also provide its customers with an insurance policy, we learn today.

An all new screen will ensure a different look for the devices. Samsung will equip the smartphones with a button-free front. The aspect ratio for the Galaxy S8 pair will also change, to 18.5:9. This will make for a taller phone and when combined with WQHD+ resolution, will also make sure that few details go amiss on the device’s screen.

Today, an interesting report related to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ has come to light. As mentioned above, the company failed miserably with the Galaxy Note7. According to The Investor, the Korean tech giant will introduce an unconditional refund policy for the Galaxy S8. This will last for three months. It’s big news and the sources cite two reasons for such a move. First, the company feels very confident with the Galaxy S8 and wants to transfer this to the end consumer.

The second, has to do with the company’s virtual assistant, Bixby. If you follow us regularly then you know that the software will have limited connectivity at the time the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are launched. At the launch of the devices, we’ll see Bixby with limited functionality. Samsung will update the assistant by the end of H1 2017. So, the company’s allowing full time to its customers to decide whether the Galaxy S8 and S8+ fully live up to expectations, especially in this regard.

In fact, all this talk about Bixby reminds us when Apple launched Siri with the iPhone. The software didn’t live up to expectations by far and Cupertino had to face a lot of embarrassment for false promises. Looks like Samsung’s eager to learn from the past in more ways than one.
