The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Unboxed In A Very Special Video Hours After Launch
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ breathe fresh air into a fading smartphone concept. Design is one element that doesn’t see much focus these days. Sure, we get devices that are great looking, but there’s a lot more to design than simple aesthetics, as Jony Ive and the late Steve Jobs would testify. Samsung’s finally got its design approach right. The S8 and S8+ are close to design masterpieces. They’re the first Samsung devices that are in the same ballpark as Apple’s iPhone lineup in terms of design language.
Samsung’s taken a very holistic approach with the device. The company’s reduced top and bottom bezels to a bare minimum. It’s rounded off their corners, and also removed the home button from the front. The only flaw with the pair’s design is the home button at the rear. It’ll cause a lot of problems when opening the device. This feature, according to the rumor mill is accidental. Samsung originally intended to equip the devices with virtual fingerprint recognition, but Synaptics failed to deliver. That being said, take a look at a video that shows the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ being removed from a box. That counts as an unboxing, no?
Don’t blame us, blame SuperSaf. That being said, the video shows three color variants for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in their full glory. Prior to their launch, some sources speculated Samsung to launch seven color options for the pair. At the processing end, the devices feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835. The processor is manufactured on advanced 10nm node and will bring significant power efficiency improvements on board.
At the software end, the pair feature DeX and Bixby. Samsung’s introduced a Microsoft Continuum like feature for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. You’ll be able to hook your devices up to a monitor using and accessory. Bixby, on the other hand is the Korean tech giant’s try at a virtual assistant. Apple, Google and Microsoft have one, so it’s only time that Samsung got one too. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned.
