While there were some doubts concerning the internal components of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, especially the part with it would be incorporated with MediaTek’s high-end MT6795 ‘system on a chip’, the latest images show the aforementioned chipset is in fact a part of the handset’s hardware specifications. MT6795 is more commonly known as Helio X10 and while it might not be as powerful as Exynos 7420, or Snapdragon 810, it will still get the job done of providing you with sufficient processing firepower.

Previous Leaks Show That Redmi Note 2 Is Going Carry A Price Less Than $115 While Sporting MediaTek’s Powerful SoC

According to Weibo, KJuma has once again posted images of Redmi Note 2. As you can clearly see, the name of the handset is listed as Redmi Note 2 and the clock speed of the processor running inside Helio X10 is 2.0 GHz. Just to remind you, the mobile chipset features an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU running at 2.0 GHz. Additional specifications include 2 GB of RAM, which was already reported from our previous leak.

The operating system update running on Redmi Note 2 is Android Lollipop 5.0.2, which is great to see in the mid-ranger. The image also shows that the internal memory count is 16 GB, out of which 10.82 GB will be usable. Despite the fact that Redmi Note 2 features insufficient internal memory, the handset will definitely be a sporting a slot to place a MicroSD card.

As for the pricing, we previously reported that Redmi Note 2 was leaked to feature a price tag of $113, which is phenomenal, if the leak turns out to be true. The leak also mentioned that the upcoming smartphone would be sporting a 13/5 MP camera sensor combination, which is also really impressive considering that Redmi Note 2 sports a really affordable price.
