Seeing the new version of Symbian really makes me happy. It looks something far more different from what the previous versions looked like. Symbian Foundation has posted the first real home screen UI shots on its developer wiki recently – which show new features like drop-down menus, redesigned widgets, and a standard numeric touchscreen keypad.

While MeeGo is still expected to be run on the higher end models of Nokia phones, Symbian^4 will be used in some of its lower end devices starting from early 2011. And since the OS has a global recognition, it will no doubt be extremely well known.
