During D23, Insomniac Games took the stage to talk about the game. They reiterated how the story is completely original and while there will be familiar character and villains, Insomniac and Marvel Games are working to create something unique with more than a few twists on the expectations.

The video, lasting for a total of nearly three minutes, shows some background on the development of Spider-Man, accompanied by the words of lead writer Jon Paquette and the creative director Bryan Intihar. There are some never-before-seen scenes, too, showcasing the web slinger stopping a taxi with his bare hands and using the environments to take down the bad guys in creative ways.

In the following trailer, we can have an extra look at the swinging of Spider-Man in the city of New York and conceptual art of the apartment of Peter Parker, as well as battles with Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin and Mr. Negative.
