GTA V will Have Some Special Perks on PS4 Console. You Can Now Pre-Order the game for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Rockstar’s GTA V E3 2014 announcement was somewhat muted, yet still, it got everyone very excited. The game was officially announced for next-gen consoles and PC at Sony’s E3 press conference so, it is little suspected that the game will have some special perks on the PlayStation 4 console. Kotaku decided to directly question the Playstation’s Marketing Executive John Koller if there is something cooking up behind the doors, and keeping in mind what he said, it looks like GTA V on PlayStation 4 will pack some special perks.
“I don’t think we announced anything publicly on that, but there will be,” said Koller when asked that is there anything for the game that will make it better-suited to play on PS4 console. “I think GTA V is a title that did extremely well on the PlayStation 3. In fact… the index rate…—the index rate is the amount of people who purchase one platform or the other relative to the install base—it swung well in PlayStation’s favor for GTA V, a lot of it because of the partnership we had with Rockstar. We would expect that to happen here, too. GTA is a PlayStation franchise.”
Koller further said that despite the multiplatform nature of the video game series, Grand Theft Auto is a franchise that has most of its part bent towards the PlayStation brand. “It started with us,” he said. “We really feel strongly that it belongs as a key platform driver for us.” He continued that more information on the PlayStation 4 version of GTA V will come soon. “GTA V is going to be, I think, a title we’ll talk about more in the weeks and months to come, but GTA V and the GTA franchise is something that will be something very special on PlayStation,” he said.
Meanwhile, you should better check your wallets because Rockstar has started to accept GTA V PC, PS4 and Xbox One pre-orders on its official website. All you have to do is just select your platform and retailer of your choice to register your pre-order. Currently, it looks like links to retailers that are located outside the United States are not working. The game is also not listed on steam yet, but soon we can expect a listing on Steam too.
