Pokemon GO For iPhone and iPad has received its first ever update. Here’s the complete changelog outlining what is new in this release.

Pokemon GO’s First Update Is A Bug Fixing Galore Release For iOS Users

Like any other app or game for iOS, Pokemon GO has had its fair share of imperfections. Thankfully though, the developers behind the smash hit, Niantic, have pushed out the first ever update for iOS users. The newly released update brings to the table a bunch of bug fixes and changes.

The complete changelog of the update, as per the App Store, is as follows:

Thank you for your incredible response and support of Pokémon GO! We are working hard to improve the experience for everyone. This update focuses on making Pokémon GO more stable with the following improvements:

– Trainers do not to have to enter their username and password repeatedly after a force log out
– Added stability to Pokémon Trainer Club account log-in process
– Resolved issues causing crashes
– Fixed Google account scope

As you can see from the update, a bunch of things have been fixed. But one particular change has grabbed our attention a lot. We’re sure you have guessed it by now which change we’re talking about in particular. In case you’re still wondering, it’s this one: “Fixed Google account scope.”

Basically, and for reasons unknown, Pokemon GO requires complete access to Google account in order to work. Quite frankly, it left us scratching our heads in a furious manner. Thankfully, with a swift update to Pokemon GO itself, the game doesn’t need complete access to your Google account anymore. We’ll go on a limb to state that this change alone is worthy enough to make the jump to version 1.0.1.

Rest of the bug fixes are pretty straightforward as you can see from the changelog above. Users are no longer required to enter their username and password over and over again once they’ve been forced out of the game. And stability has been added to the ‘Trainer Club account log-in process.’
