Pokemon GO has been updated to version 1.11.2 on iOS and 0.41.2 on Android. Here’s everything that is new.

Pokemon GO Update Adds Catch Bonus, Updated Gym Training & More

The complete changelog of the latest Pokemon GO update is as follows:

Catch Bonus: Trainers can earn a catch bonus for a Pokémon type as they catch more of a specific type.

Updated Gym Training: Trainers can now bring six Pokémon to battle at friendly Gyms. The CP of the Pokémon you are battling may be temporarily adjusted lower for your training session.

Egg & Incubator Screens: These will periodically update the distance walked without the Trainer needing to close and reopen the screen.

Fixed several audio issues.

Decreased the evolution animation time.

Minor fixes

As you can see from the changelog above, the new update adds all the promised features that were outlined a few days ago by Niantic. Catch Bonus is now a part of Pokemon GO as well as easier Gym Training. Both of these features have been long-awaited by avid players around the globe.

Catch Bonus is an extremely awesome addition to the game as it will encourage players to give their best shot at catching rare Pokemon. Furthermore, improved Gym Training will ensure players muster up the courage to train harder for a battle. All in all it’s a good update and we will request users to update right away.

Wrap Up

Pokemon GO is seeing itself go into a slow downward spiral as players are eventually losing interest. The game that saw a massive boost in uptake by the mobile gaming community is left out as just another title, joining the ranks of other go-to games in the App Store and Google Play. But does Niantic hold a chance to turn its fortunes around once again? It just might. Till that happens, we have slow and steady updates to keep up busy in the meantime.
