The Onelus 5 Will Release On June 21st According To Leaked Posters On Chinese Social Media
The OnePlus 5 is a regular feature of the rumor mill. Information that we’ve gathered so far suggests that the smartphone will provide stiff competition to existing flagship smartphones. Rumors claim that the OnePlus 5 will feature the Snapdragon 835. This will be complemented by 6GB RAM for most markets. Following the current trend in the flagship market, the device will also feature a dual camera setup.
Now, after the company’s CEO confirmed its launch date, we’ve also got more leaks which mention a release date for the OnePlus 5. If you’ve been waiting for the device, we’ve got good news for you today. According to a leaked poster on Chinese social media website, Weibo, the OnePlus 5 will be available to order just a day after its launch, i.e. on June 21st.
According to this information, the OnePlus 5 will be available to order in Beijing at 10 am CST, on June 21st. The smartphone will carry a price tag of CNY 2,799, which translates roughly into $400 -$415. We’ve seen price tags around a similar range rumored for the device earlier as well, so maybe there’s some credibility here. The poster itself looks pretty authentic, though in this world of photoshop, it’s stupid to state such matters conclusively.
OnePlus made a similar move with the OnePlus 3, so we’ll most likely see a release the very next day of the smartphone’s launch. Amazon India has also confirmed that it will make the device available for order on June 22nd, so maybe you’ll need very little salt for today’s news. The OnePlus 5 will also feature a 1920x1080p display and a 13MP dual camera setup. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned.
