It’s official folks. The OnePlus 5 is with us. After having spent months in the rumor mill, we’re now seeing official confirmation for its specifications and features. The company is living up to its self defined definition of making ‘flagship killers’. Wondering what the smartphone will feature? Take a look below to find out more.

The OnePlus 5 Is Here With The Snapdragon 835, 6/8GB RAM And More Details

Getting right to it, the OnePlus 5 will feature the Snapdragon 835. The smartphone will be available in two storage variants. These will be 64GB and 128GB. RAM will of course depend on which smartphone you’ll purchase. If it’s the 64GB variant, you’ll get 6GB. If it’s the 128GB variant, you’ll get 8GB RAM. Screen size for the smartphone will stand at 5.5 inches, with 1080p resolution, just as predicted by the rumor mill.

The main feature for the smartphone is its dual camera setup. This is where the rumor mill gets it slightly wrong. While we do get a dual camera setup, it isn’t the one with 16MP resolution for both the sensors. Rather, one sensor stands at 20MP and the other stands at 16MP. Aperture width for the pair is f/2.6 and f/1.7 respectively. One of the lenses is telephoto, and the setup as a whole is suited for low light photography.

Battery capacity for the smartphone stands at 3300 mAh and the company also claims that you’ll get a very efficient fingerprint sensor with the smartphone. As you can see in the image above, the sensor for the OnePlus 5 will unlock the smartphone in 0.2s. That’s very impressive if you ask us and a good specification to have in a budget device. For the display, OnePlus follows Apple’s footsteps with the 9.7 inch iPad Pro and subsequently the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

The DCI-P3 gamut makes it on the OnePlus 5, meaning that there will support for an entire additional color band. Battery life will also do you favors as a 1080p display with a 3300 mAh power pack will last for quite a while. All in all, the OnePlus 5 is a decent smartphone, with all the relevant flagship level specifications. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned. We’ll keep you updated on the latest.
