The OnePlus 5 is a regular feature of the rumor mill these days. The smartphone provides a nice breath of fresh air when compared against the traditional leaks that surround other, high end flagship smartphones. In a world dominated by Apple and Samsung, any other devices are welcome, if they feature adequate specifications and features to keep the flagship user occupied. OnePlus is one of these companies (no pun intended) and today we’ve got more details for the company’s upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus 5. Take a look below to find out more.

The OnePlus 5 Surfaces In Latest, Alleged Renders With A Very Unimaginative Design

The OnePlus 5 has generated a lot of hype lately. Posts about the device are very popular. In fact, if we let you in on a bit of inside knowledge, they’re almost as popular as leaks related to the Galaxy S8 and S8+, in terms of traffic. Current leaks paint a good picture for the device. It will not be short in terms of any specifications that you’d expect from a flagship smartphone. The OnePlus 5 will feature Qualcomm’s 10nm Snapdragon 835, coupled with 6GB RAM, suggest rumors.

An interesting feature for the OnePlus 5, one that will guarantee it a strong spot in the flagship market will be its camera setup. The Chinese manufacturer will join the ranks of Apple, Samsung and LG with the upgrade. Leaks suggest that this camera setup for the OnePlus 5 will carry 16MP resolution for both the sensors, which will be adequate under most circumstances. Additionally, what other features OnePlus chooses to equip this sensor with will determine its overall performance.

These images, that surface straight out of China, show no distinct details in terms of design. It’s very elemental and chooses to direct overall focus to the device’s functionality. Recently, the trend is to create distinct devices, reminiscent of the Cube. It’s the specification which will make it or break it for the OnePlus 5, since the company doesn’t have resources for eye opening features, including Iris scanning.

To sum it up, the OnePlus 5 will feature a front facing fingerprint sensor, a dual camera sensor and top tier hardware specifications. IF you’re looking for something flashy, go for Samsung’s Galaxy S8. Or the HTC U11. That’s a very flashy device. What we’re more interested in Google’s approach with the Pixel 2.
