OCZ Releases Vertex 4 Firmware 1.5 Beta Update, Improves Overall SSD Performance

OCZ, today released its Firmware 1.5 Beta Update for the Vertex 4 series Solid State Drives which further enhances the sequential speeds of the storage devices.

With the new update, maximum read speed on the 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB Vertex 4 SSD variants is increased to 560 MB/s (up from 550 MB/s) and maximum write speeds are improved by 6% on average.

The highest write speed improvement can be seen on the 256GB SSD of 10%.
