VR-Zone has confirmed details and release date of Nvidia’s upcoming Mid-Segment card “GTX 550 Ti” which would be based on the GF-116 core (refined version of the GF-106 core on which GTS 450 is built). The card is based on a 40nm process and ill feature 1Gb GDDR5 memory along a 128-bit wide memory interface.
Being Pin-Pin compatible with the GF-106 means that the card will feature a similar sized PCB as seen on a GTS 450 GPU. The max TDP would be 110W and card will use a 3+1 Power Phase. The card is rumored to be 35% faster than the ATi HD 5770 GPU. This performance means that it would be as fast as a GTX 460. Clocks of Core/Memory/Shader are not know yet.
Price of the card is to be around 200$ which is same as the GT460 and would be available on 15th March.
