Nvidia Announces and Demonstrates its World’s First First Quad-Core Tegra Mobile Processor- Project KAL-EL Demos at MWC 2011.

Nvidia announced and demonstrated its world’s first Quad-Core equipped Tegra Mobile Processor (Codenamed-Project KAL-EL) at this Years Mobile World Conference 2011. The Tegra 3 Ship would be able to pump up 5x the performance of Tegra 2. According to Nvidia, The Quad Core chip would be introduced in Android Tablets by August while Android Mobiles will get it by Christmas 2011.

The Tegra 3 chip is capable of running Web, Games and stream video at 1440p video content running on a 2560×1600 panel. This means that the new mobile devices would be enabled to output to the highest resolution monitors or tablets equipped with a 10.1-inch display with 300 DPI. Nvidia also plans to release new chips later on codenamed Wayne, Logan, and Stark.
