The Nintendo Switch console will be detailed in around two months, so Nintendo will have very little time to give players a taste of it before its release in all regions. Today, Nintendo has confirmed where players will be able to get their hands on the Switch before launch following its January presentation.

A few hours ago, it’s been confirmed that the Nintendo Switch console will be playable at the Tokaigi 2017: Game Party Japan, which will be held on February 11th and February 12th Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Even though Western players may have some trouble attending the event, we will surely learn more thanks to attendees sharing their opinions online.

The games that will be available for Nintendo Switch at launch are yet to be detailed, but it seems like the rumored Super Smash Bros for Wii / 3DS port will not be among them. According to insider Laura Kate Dale, the port is indeed coming but not at launch. Apparently, Nintendo is also holding back the Bayonetta and Cloud Strife amiibo figures so to release them on the same day as the game’s Switch port. As there has been no official confirmation, we must take this with a grain of salt.

Speaking about Switch games, there’s a good chance that we will see more remasters in the future. Earlier this week, Tantalus revealed that they have been working on Switch titles for some time and that they’re open to developing remasters for Nintendo.

The Nintendo Switch launches in all regions this March, with news regarding price and final release date coming this January.
