Nintendo is currently working hard on its next console, currently known as Nintendo NX, which will launch next year in all regions, but it seems like some new hardware from the Japanese company is still going to hit all markets later this year.

Today, Nintendo officially revealed the Nintendo Entertainment System NES Classic Edition , which is a miniature replica of the original Nintendo Entertainment System console complete with a NES-Style controller, which can also be used on Wii and Wii U, and 30 built in games. Among the included games are some true classics like the first two Castlevania games, Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3, The Legend Of Zelda and its sequel, the original Metroid and many others.

We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place. The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers.
