MSI has just unveiled a trio of gloriously high-end X299 motherboards which will be feature ready for the Intel Core X series processors. The high-end motherboards include renowned designs such as the XPOWER, Tomahawk, Gaming Pro Carbon, SLI and Gaming M7 ACK which deliver enthusiast class support for HEDT processors.

MSI has revealed details of three X299 motherboards while they have been teasing the fourth one which is their flagship. These include the MSI X299 XPOWER Gaming, MSI X299 Gaming Pro Carbon, MSI X299 Gaming M7 ACK, MSI X299 SLI PLUS and the MSI X299 Tomahawk.

All motherboards will feature full support for Intel’s Core X series processors which include up to 18 core Skylake X chips and up to 4 cores, Kaby Lake X chips. MSI X299 XPOWER Gaming AC Motherboard

The MSI X299 XPOWER Gaming AC is the flagship X299 motherboard from MSI. It comes with the LGA 2066 socket which packs 2066 pins and supports the entire Intel Core X processor range. The motherboard will include a 12+1+1 phase DigitALL premium power design with features such as Loadline Calibration and MSI’s Turbo Socket. The CPU is powered by a 8+4 pin connector configuration and is enough for overclocking needs.

The motherboard packs eight DDR4 DIMM slots which can support up to 128 GB capacities and very fast memory speeds of 4266 MHz (OC+). All eight of the DIMM slots can be populated with memory sticks. In terms of design, the motherboard has went with a black and white accent and features MSI’s Mystic light support. It even supports heatpipe solution on the VRM heatsink which offers better cooling performance.

Expansion slots include four PCI-e 3.0 x16, a single PCI-e 3.0 x1 and three M.2 slots that are covered by MSI’s M.2 heatsink shielding known as ShieldFrozr. Storage includes 10 SATA III ports, a U.2 port, dual USB 3.0 ports with onboard USB 2.0 port. MSI is featuring their Audio Boost IV system on latest boards so we can also expect a premium list of I/O configuration at the backpanel. The XPOWER also comes with a dual M.2 PCI-e adapter in the box which is good for several purposes.

MSI X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Motherboard

The MSI X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC packs a very high-end design. It comes with the LGA 2066 socket which packs 2066 pins and supports the entire Intel Core X processor range. The motherboard will include a 10+1+1 phase DigitALL premium power design with features such as Loadline Calibration and MSI’s Turbo Socket. The CPU is powered by a 8+4 pin connector configuration and is enough for overclocking needs.

The motherboard packs eight DDR4 DIMM slots which can support up to 128 GB capacities and very fast memory speeds. All eight of the DIMM slots can be populated with memory sticks. In terms of design, the board has several black and carbon fiber textured heatsinks that are fitted with blue LEDs that look really neat.

Expansion slots include four PCI-e 3.0 x16, two PCI-e 3.0 x1 and two M.2 slots that are covered by MSI’s M.2 heatsink shielding.
