Raven Software has announced that CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered will use the original MP announcer for the original game modes.

Amos Hodge, Raven Software’s lead designer confirmed this on Twitter. According to Hodge, the original announcer voice over from the original game will be used for Modern Warfare Remastered. This applies to the game’s original multiplayer modes.

Prior to this Tweet, the lead designer already confirmed that sounds for the Barrett, DEgale, RPD, and M40A3, will more closely match the original.

Furthermore, Hodge promised that objective capture sounds are being updated, and the game’s Medal sounds will be unique for Modern Warfare Remastered.

Modern Warfare Remastered will be bundled with the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which is scheduled for a release this November. The remasterd version of Modern Warfare might become available as a stand-alone game as well, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare: Remastered were announced earlier this year for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

“The original Modern Warfare raised the bar on video games and forever will be remembered as one of the best. It’s an honour to be developing the remaster and we are committed to faithfully remastering this classic for Call of Duty fans,” stated Brian Raffel, studio head of Raven Software back in May of this year.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is included with the following editions of  Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare:

  • Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition – Includes both  Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
  • Digital Deluxe Edition – Includes  Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare,  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Season Pass
  • Legacy Pro Edition – Includes  Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare,  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Season Pass, collectible Steelbook, official game soundtrack and additional digital items

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare went gold earlier this week, and will release on November 4.
