Metal Gear Solid V – Updated Box Art Removes Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions Branding

The new box art for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been uploaded on NeoGAF, and the one thing that is quite apparent is the removal of “A Hideo Kojima Game” as well as the logo of Kojima Productions.

The Japanese voice actor behind Solid Snake, Akio Otsuka, has reported that Kojima Productions was forced to disband, and that their efforts in creating their biggest masterpiece with Metal Gear Solid V is almost complete.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain went down a storm at E3 2015 receiving a plethora of nominations and awards, including IGN’s Game of the Show, Gamespot’s Best of E3, Polygon’s Editor’s Choice and many more. The full list of nomination and awards can be viewed here.
