Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain is not receiving single player content, but Konami is trying to get players engaged by constantly launching new FOB events. Earlier today, the Japanese company has detailed through the game’s official website the events which will be available for the next few days.

The first big Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain FOB event for this week is the 5th Virtual League event. During this event, players can exchange PF points for a variety of rewards such as free MB Coins and more. Finishing in the Top 3 in a round of Virtual League battles, achieving a win rate higher than 50% in a round of battles and using Liquid Carbon Missiles and Anti-Ballistic Missiles at least once will allow players to obtain some special rewards such as Fuel Resources and additional Combat Unit staff members.

Infiltrating other players’ FOB during this week is going to make players earn even more resources thanks to the Reward Boost event. All resource-related rewards for completing FOB missions will be doubled until the end of the event next week, on February 9th.

The third and final new event allows players to boost their PF’s Offensive and Defensive capability through the Special G44 Bullpup Assault Rifle event. To obtain these advantages, players only need to have completed development of the weapon. This event will last until February 16th.

Despite the game having been released a few months ago, players are still discovering secrets in Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. Last week one player managed to capture footage of Ocelot on Mother Base, something that was quite hard to do due to the character appearing in an area that cannot be reached.

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain is now available in all regions on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
