Metal Gear Online, the online component of the successful Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, has been launched on console shortly after the release of the game. The PC version of Metal Gear Online was delayed until January 2016 and PC Metal Gear Online fans will soon be able to get a taste of the whole experience with an upcoming beta.

A few hours ago Metal Gear Online Community Manager Robert Peeler has confirmed that the Metal Gear Online PC beta will begin later today, from 10 PM PT. While this is the target time, there’s the chance that the beta will begin later than anticipated due to a variety of reasons.

The real Kept You Waiting…

Since the delay announcement last year, MGO fans have been waiting patiently for the latest update for their favorite online multiplayer to arrive on their favorite platform, the indomitable PC!

A strong man doesn’t need to read the future. He simply needs to wait for MGO on PC.

That day is nearly here, as recently announced via the Konami Twitch Channel[www.twitch.tv], players can opt in and download the Beta release of Metal Gear Online January 12th, 10PM PT.

While that’s our target time, there’s a chance it’ll slip by an hour or two as we implement this awaited update, but rest assure we will be here for support and launch as planned.

Metal Gear Online isn’t the only online gameplay segment of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. During the course of the main campaign, players can also take part in FOB infiltration missions, which allow them to attack other players’ Forward Operating Bases and steal staff members and resources. FOB missions also award players with some additional content, with future rewards having been revealed yesterday.
