LG unveiled the much-awaited G6 smartphone at MWC 2017 event. At the time of the launch, LG did not reveal the pricing for the UK, but a listing on MobileFun has unleashed the price for unlocked LG G6 in the UK. As per the listing, the phone is available for pre-ordering at £699 ($855). Except for the pricing, the listing does not show any information about the shipping date. However, it has listed several safety cases for the G6.

As we already mentioned, the G6 model listed on MobileFun is an unlocked version, which means it has no subsidies or contract with any carrier. The price tag of £699 is higher than the pricing of the unlocked version of LG G5 last year listed on Amazon at £529, last year. The pricing for the G6 in the UK loosely confirms the rumours about the anticipated price hike from the last year’s LG G5. Nevertheless, LG G6 is a better-designed successor of the G5, which justifies the pricing.

LG G6 UK listing

Even before the MobileFun’s listing surfaced, three UK carriers had already confirmed that they would be offering the LG G6 on contract. The pricing of the device on MobileFun is lower than the starting price of the smartphone for the rest of Europe, which is €700. Other than the UK, LG G6 is also up for pre-ordering in South Korea, where it will hit the sale shelves on March 10.

LG also announced the launch date for the device in Australia – March 28. For the US, LG is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details. In the US too, major carriers have confirmed their partnership with the LG G6.

To recap, the LG G6 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, and it has the unique ability for the apps to display information in two separate top and bottom sections. Other major specifications on the LG G6 includes Snapdragon 821 SoC, 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card), and 4GB of RAM. A 3300mAh battery backs the phone with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology for rapid charging, which LG claims to charge the phone up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. Sadly, the wireless charging on the LG G6 will only be limited for the US variant.
