We’ve seen the Xiaomi Mi Mix, and have yet to see anything like it, but the ZUK Edge comes very close to that with its ultra-thin bezels and powerful internals that you will soon find out about.

ZUK Edge Falls Short of the 90 Percent Screen-to-Body Ratio But Still Comes With Internals That Matches That of Current Flagships

Lenovo’s ZUK Edge features a physical home button, which is something that will not be a part of smartphones when 2017 commences. However, we’re still wondering if the company would have achieved a larger screen-to-body ratio had that physical home button had been removed. Regardless, according to the company, the fingerprint reader is capable of unlocking the phone in 0.09 seconds and sports a screen-to-body ratio of an impressive 86.4 percent.

That will up the aesthetics, though it will also make the device more susceptible to drops. The company has not stated which operating system update it is running, but if it is Android Nougat, then the device is also Daydream ready thanks to its Snapdragon 821 SoC, and is available in the 4 or 6GB RAM variants. Coupled with that much RAM, you also get 64GB of UFS 2.0 storage, improving read and write speeds as a result.

There is also a 13MP rear shooter with an aperture of F/2.2 and 1.34μm pixel size. The phone will also be directed to audiophiles, something that manufacturers do not give preference to for some reason. LG did it with its V20, and the ZUK Edge comes with a Dirac HD Sound feature providing better Hi-Fi audio, and yes the headphone jack is also present. Other than that, you get the usual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and a USB Type-C port features.

For a smartphone possessing a screen size of 5.5 inches, we were expecting something bigger than a 3,100mAh battery, but at least it provides support for Quick Charge 3.0. Coming to pricing and availability details, the ZUK Edge will be available on January 1, with the following colors and prices.
