It is high time Apple unveiled its smartwatch as almost every other technology leader has done so. But then, it is Apple we are talking about; who knows what surprises and transformations iWatch will bring in the world of little, cute and geeky smartwatches. For months now we have been hearing that Apple will unveil its first ever smartwatch with iPad Air 2 and Retina iPad Mini 2 in October. However, as the online world is quite active prior to IFA and Apple unveiling events in September, there are a few contradictions coming in about the launch dates. The recent one suggest that Apple is actually planning to have the iWatch launch alongside its iPhone 6 lineup of products (lineup because there are more than just 2 variants expected this time).iWatch launch

iWatch launch date:

As Cupertino is rumored to launch two different and larger variants of iPhone 6 coming in at 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens to compete against Android market, seems like current smartwatches are also to see some early competition. If the rumor of Apple having iWatch launch alongside iPhone 6 on September 9 is true, it would be quite accurate and perfect considering so many smartwatches that are lined up for next week at IFA. As we have already shared with you some details about LG’s circular smartwatch, ASUS’ ZenWatch and the ever so popular Moto 360, all of which are seeing an unveiling at IFA, comes September.

The latest information about iWatch launch date comes through Re/Code:

“Apple now plans to unveil a new wearable alongside the two next-generation iPhones we told you the company will debut on September 9th. (Funny “joke,” Gruber.) The new device will, predictably, make good use of Apple’s HealthKit health and fitness platform. It will also — predictably — make good use of HomeKit, the company’s new framework for controlling connected devices — though it’s not clear how broadly or in what way.”

The Funny joke that is referred in the above text comes from earlier this month when John Gruber – with a presence in Apple – said that Apple’s “wrist wearable thing” would be announced in September. He later said that it was a joke. If re/code is to be believed, Gruber made some serious joke indeed.
