To say that there have been a lot of iPhone 8 leaks this year is an understatement. The device is a daily feature of the rumor mill. More often than not, multiple sources report on similar information, which lends a lot of credibility to it. We’ve seen leaks cover specifications, features, title, price and more lately. However, one thing that’s slipped by are color options. Apple’s big upgrade for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus last year was all new color options. Now, their successors might follow a similar strategy. Take a look below to find out more.

Apple’s big on design and aesthetics. It’s Cupertino that made esthetics popular after all. And no, they’re not the same word. The company’s approach for the iPhone 8 will be drastically different when compared against previous years. Perhaps the biggest feature for the smartphone is the introduction of an edge to edge OLED display. It’ll follow the flagship smartphone world’s recent trend and lend the iPhone a very unique appearance. However, now it looks like Apple’s got more tricks up its sleeve.

Take a look above and you’ll see alleged SIM card slots for the iPhone 8. While the leak isn’t even remotely major, one characteristic requires special attention. Look closely at the first image and you’ll see a Gold color option that isn’t on any current iPhone. Additionally, we’re also seeing metal flakes on the component. These suggest that Apple just might take a very different, yet good looking approach for the iPhone 8.

After all, a smartphone that will cost $1000 needs to have some special bling. And a color option deviating from Apple’s customary, smooth palette just might be it. After all, when Gold was first introduced on the iPhone, it proved to be immensely popular with Apple’s users. A premium brand with a premium color? Sold! This time, the iPhone 8 looks to get a much mature variant. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned. We’ll keep you updated on the latest.
