Two iPhone 8 5.5-Inch Screen Size Smartphones Rumored to Be Released in 2017 – Only One of Them to Sport High-End Features
The 2017 iPhone 8 family will mark the 10-year anniversary of the iPhone, and with the announcement, Apple is expected to bring in some hefty changes to its smartphone family. One of the changes that we have heard about incessantly is the incorporation of an OLED panel. OLED panels have widely been used in smartphones because they deliver sharper colors to the user, is brighter outdoors, energy efficient and allows manufacturers to further reduce the thickness of their devices, which are all the objectives the company is aiming to achieve. However, it looks like only one model is going to be giving the preferential treatment, while the remaining two will feature the previous TFT-LCD panels.
That being said, the following three smartphone models are expected to be announced in 2017, bearing the following:
- 4.7-inch iPhone with LCD panel boasting a single camera
- 5.5-inch iPhone with LCD panel boasting a dual-camera
- 5.5-inch iPhone with OLED panel boasting a dual-camera
Though there were several rumors suggesting that there were going to be three models announced in 2016, we were greeted by two of them, so I am not sure how I feel about this one. Apple has also been rumored to bump up the screen sizes to 5.8 inches for the phablet-sized version, but right now, it is far too early to tell the changes that are going to be added. With 2017 expected to be a big year for Apple, you can expect some radical changes to be incorporated, and we’ll be updating you all on these devices in the future.
