Apple has released iOS 9.3.5 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users for download. We have direct download links and changelog.

iOS 9.3.5 Is A Pure Security Related Update – ‘Recommended’ For All Users

It seems quite evident at this point that Apple is stepping up its game when it comes to security, as iOS 9.3.5 is a pure security tightening release, nothing more, nothing less. iOS 9.3.4 that dropped around three weeks ago did the same as well, killing the Pangu jailbreak in the process.

If you’re wondering how important today’s release is – according to NYT, iOS 9.3.5 patches three security vulnerabilities that allowed an ill-intentioned individual to read your text messages, snoop on phone calls and more. In other words: anything before iOS 9.3.5 is a security nightmare for users and we urge everyone to update straight away without giving it a second thought.

iOS 9.3.5 is available as an over the air download and here are the steps you should follow in order to update:

  • Make sure your device is charged beyond the 50% mark and connected to WiFi.
  • Head over to Settings, then navigate to General > Software Update.
  • As soon as iOS 9.3.5 update pops up, tap on the ‘Download and Install’ button.

The update will be verified and installed on your device once the download process is complete.

If you want to perform a clean install of iOS 9.3.5, then you will of course require the IPSW firmware file itself, which we have linked below as well.
