Is your Apple Watch Series 2 or Series 1 feeling slow lately? Follow the steps outlined here to make everything fast again.

Boost the Performance of your Apple Watch By Turning On / Off a Couple of Features

The Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 1 pack in dual-core processors, making them faster when compared to the original model. But over time, a wearable is bound to slow down, much like a smartphone or tablet. To combat this issue we usually resort to the good old method of factory reseting our devices, then setting them up again as brand new. That’s a route not everyone can follow, however. But, we can fix things without getting into much trouble as well.

For the Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 1, regaining lost performance is a piece of cake, and the method is same as before which we covered back in 2015. Today, we are going to refresh things up for this year, and help you regain some lost performance bits immediately.

Turn ON Reduce Transparency

1. Launch the Watch app on your iPhone.

2. Now tap on General.

3. Tap Accessibility.

4. Now select Reduce Transparency and turn the feature ON.

Turn ON Reduce Motion

1. Follow the above steps up till number 3.

2. Now select Reduce Motion and turn the feature ON.

With the above two features turned on, your Apple Watch will feel and work much faster than before. With transparency effects turned off, the lag will immediately disappear. And thanks to Reduce Motion being turned on, the (somewhat) annoying animations will go away, giving you a sense of faster app launch times and whatnot.

If the above trick did not fix the lag or performance issue at all, then you might want to set up your Apple Watch all over again and give it a fresh start. It’s not a pretty little routine to follow, but at least you’ll be back in business in no time.

It’s good practice to keep things nice and tidy on your Apple Watch Series 2 and 1 from time to time. Try not to install unnecessary apps on it while also making sure that the wearable is not overburdened with useless notifications. These things help regain performance bits in a very swift fashion. But it’s entirely your call if you wish to go all out regarding the features which you wish to use.
