Facebook-owned Instagram rolled out a new update today, which has a lot to brag about. The complete design overhaul brings a much simpler black and white design for both iOS and Android. Moreover, the app logo has also been revamped with a plain sailing camera with the rainbow colors in gradient form. The photos look bigger and much more appealing all thanks to the new flatter user interface that keeps your focus on the photos itself. Let’s see what new additions have been added in the Instagram update.

Instagram Update Shows A Complete Design Overhaul And A New App Logo

Apart from the Instagram app itself, the company has also updated app icons for Boomerang, Hyperlapse and Layout. All of the icons for the following apps look part of the same family with the same gradient of colors. The new logo is perfect with a much cleaner look and fits with today’s smartphone software. Keeping our focus towards the Instagram update, the user interface design changes reflect a more monochromatic look with a black and white appearance.

The complete design overhaul can be seen all over the app interface, such as the redesigned Camera button at the bottom of the app and the Activity button. The Activity button shifts from a heart in a speech to just a heart, showing you your latest activity. The company says that the storytelling now looks way more vibrant than before as no app’s colored layout is now present to snatch the attention away.

Instagram update has been rolled out across its mobile apps for both iOS and Android.
