Insomniac Games Entering PC Market with ‘Slow Down, Bull’

Posted 2 years ago

Insomniac Games is no stranger to making brilliant and fun games, like Ratchet & Clank or Sunset Overdrive, for consoles. Now it looks like they’re going to be moving their expertise over to the PC space as well, with their debut title Slow Down, Bull.

Insomniac Games is going to release Slow Down, Bull on PC through Steam on April 20th.

Slow Down, Bull is an action-collecting type of game where you take on the role of Esteban the bull and help him make art. The goal is to collect the various decorations and items around the level against a clock while being mindful of his stress level, triggered by movement.

Slow Down, Bull started as an experiment by Lisa Brown at Insomniac Games but eventually evolved into a complete game in and of itself, making a departure from the usual colorful atmosphere’s we expect from them. It drew on whimsical ideas that didn’t quite make sense for their usual console releases.

Certainly this is a lively and unique game, but it’s more than just a game to Lisa Brown. It also represents an ongoing partnership with the Starlight Children’s Foundation, where they will donate 50% of the net proceeds to. At $5.99 that isn’t a terribly large amount, but it’s a commitment to helping improve the life and health of kids and families around the world.

It may not be your type of game per-se, but that shouldn’t detract from you taking a look at it if you enjoy these types of games to help pass the time. That and your own children might enjoy the colorful hand-drawn art and the amusing gameplay and antics of Esteban.

I think it’s great that Insomniac Games is taking the opportunity to give back in a way that everyone benefits from.
