Batman is going to need a new team. NetherRealm Studios just released a trailer for the uneasy alliances being formed in a post-Superman world in Injustice 2.

As a new threat looms, Batman needs make some uneasy alliances now that Superman is behind bars after his reign of terror comes to end. There’s mistrust between Green-turned Yellow-now Green again- Lantern and Batman’s crew. We also have Flash questioning how we really should deal with criminals. I’ve got a feeling that Batman and Superman will have to put aside their differences and save the world again.

Here’s a couple of shots DC fans will appreciate with Gorilla Grodd rallying his ( Gorilla City?) troops that include Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Bane, and new to the series, Captain Cold. The trailer also gave us a glimpse of the Reverse Flash squaring off against the Flash during a busy freeway. No word if Reverse Flash will be playable, here’s hoping.

Here’s what Ed Boon, Creative Director of NetherRealm Studios had to say about the superhero fighting game when it first announced back in June:

In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favourites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl, and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City, and Atlantis.
