For Honor from publisher Ubisoft, will have a full single-player campaign mode. The game’s producer, Stephane Cardin, confirmed this in a recently published ‘Developer Highlights’ video.

While a single player has never been denied, the main focus of the title, seemed to be the game’s multiplayer mode. In the developer’s video though, producer Cardin confirms a solo campaign for ‘For Honor’.

For Honor single player mode a key subject of the game

“One of the big questions we receive in feedback is about the solo campaign,” Cardin mentions in the video. “We said that we will have a solo campaign, and I can promise you that we will have a solo campaign. It’s one of the key subjects we are working on, on the floor. I can’t wait to show stuff to you guys, and we’ll do it as early as possible, like we did with the multiplayer.”

For Honor drops gamers into the chaos of a raging battlefield during an ongoing war between three Great Factions: the bold Knights (the Legions), the brutal Vikings (the Warborn) and the enigmatic Samurai (the Chosen).

The visceral melee-combat title from Ubisoft Montreal was unveiled during the E3 of 2015.

“Our vision with For Honor is to create a game that ignites the same emotions that a warrior would feel on a real battlefield. The tension of face-to-face encounters with deadly enemies, the adrenaline of charging alongside your army against the opposition, and the danger of a chaotic battle when you don’t know where the next strike will come from,” said Jason Vandenberghe, Creative Director, Ubisoft. “It’s a game that celebrates the art of sword-fighting and the legacy of the legendary warriors from those great legacies, the Knights, the Vikings and the Samurai that we brought together in one single experience.”

The game is slated for a release in 2016 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
