HITMAN Episode 5 Arrives On September 27 & Is Set In Colorado; First Screens Included
I/O Interactive has announced that HITMAN episode 5 will be arriving later this month on September 27, and will be set in Colorado.
The next-to-last HITMAN episode for Season 1 will place Agent 47 on a mission to infiltrate a Colorado farm compound that has been converted into a private militia training camp. Players are presented with an intense infiltration mission to locate and take out four targets.
Sean Rose, Maya Parvati, Ezra Berg and Penelope Graves are four very different,
very dangerous people, each with their own specialist skillset ranging from environmental terrorism to chemical interrogation. This will be the toughest assignment yet for Agent 47. Players must utilize all the skills learned so far.
With all-new opportunities and disguises, and with 70 different challenges unlocking brand new gear, weapons, and items, Episode 5: Colorado rewards players with huge story revelations as the season builds towards a thrilling climax.
“This is one of the toughest episodes yet. Not only do you have four targets, but from the moment you set foot in Colorado you’re on enemy ground,” said Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive. “‘Freedom Fighters’ is a key episode, which will add serious momentum to the story and set up an intriguing season finale for players.”
HITMAN was released earlier this year as a full-episodic title with a major live component. The first HITMAN episode 1 was released back in March of this year, and started with a Prologue Mission and a Paris location. Episode 2, which was set in Italy, released in April. In May, episode 3 was released and brought Agent 47’s to Morocco. The fourth HITMAN episode from August was set in Bangkok, Thailand.
“We decided to take the full leap and publish HITMAN as a truly episodic game experience,” said Seifert back in January of this year. “Part of that decision is for that little bit of extra time to ensure every location we release is at the quality level fitting for a HITMAN game. But the main driving reason is that this will allow us to create a living game that will expand and evolve over time and establish a foundation for the future – this is the first game in a storyline which will continue and expand with future Hitman games.”
The fifth HITMAN episode will release later this month for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The final HITMAN episode for season 1 is slated for a release later this year.
