Google Pixel 2 XL Render Shows A Nice Blend Of Old Vs New; No Dual Camera Setup Present

While the rumor mill loves to focus on the iPhone 8 and the Galaxy Note 8, we managed to scavenge leaks related to other devices as well. In fact, it’s a blessing if any upcoming gadget doesn’t surface in a plethora of leaks. After all, this makes sorting out information all the more easy. The Pixel 2 lineup is one of these. The leaks we witness are sparse and are often from reputed sources which have a good track record.

Today’s render for the Google Pixel 2 XL reveals a lot of details for the device. For starters, Mountain View will retain its unique glass back for the smartphone, but, it’ll cover about 1/4th of the device’s back. Additionally, there isn’t a dual camera present either, so looks like Google’s confident enough to turn its back to the market’s current, popular trends.

The render is based on information that Android Authority received from its sources. At the front of the Pixel, we see a similar minimum bezel display, that’s become the trend for 2017. It’ll be manufactured by LG and will place the Pixel 2 XL comfortably along the Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. The fingerprint sensor is now under the glass part of the device and the familiar Google logo is also visible at the bottom.

Looking at the device’s front, we see a large speaker grill, that might also double up to provide stereo sound. The image’s source also claims that the smartphone will have a squeezable frame. This will allow you to interact with Google Assistant by simply squeezing your device. The Pixel 2 XL looks quite the device in today’s image. It captures the high end, premium bracket much better than its predecessor, which aimed to be more playful. Thoughts?
