Gears Of War 4, the new entry of the series developed by The Coalition, is now very close to release and those who are thinking about getting the game on PC are wondering how well the game will play. A few hours ago, a new gameplay video taken from the PC version of the game surfaced online, showcasing plenty of exciting shooting action.

The new Gears Of War 4 PC gameplay video, which can be watched right below, showcases some sequences taken from the single player campaign. While the video doesn’t look that good, mostly due to YouTube, it’s still nice to see the game run at 60 FPS. Additionally, the video also showcases the mouse and keyboard controls, which definitely look smooth enough.

The fact that the Gears Of War 4 mouse and keyboard controls look so smooth shows how the team is putting more than enough care in the PC version of the game. While this control scheme has been dubbed as important by The Coalition’s Ryan Cleven, Gears of War 4 is balanced for the Xbox One controller, which is not surprising considering the series started on Xbox 360.

“We definitely work from the controller out. We do play [with] mouse and keyboard, but the core of the game is around a controller.”

“I don’t think that we…would say that we have like, one of the other as the priority; they’re both really important to us. But, we have to make sure that the controller experience, which has been the legacy of the game, is definitely perfect.”

Gears Of War 4 launches on October 11th on Windows PC and Xbox One. While we wait for more news about this highly anticipated third person shooter, you may want to check out a recent trailer showcasing the exciting Horde 3.0 mode.
