Turn 10 studio head Alan Hartman commented:
“We weren’t interested in doing yet another movie-based game, that’s not what our franchise is about. When we started talking about this with Universal years ago, it was really about bringing both of our franchise’s strengths to the table. We’re building on top of everything we’ve done over the last decade.”
Fast And The Furious, has been the perfect fit for console games, but so far, tie-ins have only been smartphone titles and low-budget cash-ins, such as Activision’s 2013 title Fast & Furious: Showdown.
“Forza is synonymous with racing and fun, so it’s only natural for us to work with one of the most celebrated action franchises in the world, this is a great way to bring Forza players into the world of ‘Fast & Furious,’ and in Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, every fan will get a chance to go wheels-first into the exciting action of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise.”Advertisement
said Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox.
