Main point to ponder is how were the cards giving too good performance in benchmarks like guru3d/anandtech/tomshardware etc? |

i belive KAC can be wrong, but the people from Toms, etc are more authentic...so
for this review...i would recommend some other member to review it... ![]() his review opposes every other review on net, and this is perhaps the first negative review of 4850... ....honestly, i doubt this review A LOT...and this time out, the Review at WCCFTECH let me down....i expected better review, i guess...try not to compromise on quality guys...'cause this interview s kd balls..!!!!

It's a user review people. If you people can come up with something contesting this review, we'd be glad to publish that as well.

After much deliberation and people constantly telling me that I am getting lower performance I picked two reviews that ran comparable resolutions to my benchmarks to verify my numbers.
Here are the results: Bit Tech Net Review Tech Power Up Review Crysis DX9 All High 0xAA 16xAF 1280*1024 My Numbers: Min 22.46 Avg 34.81 Bit Tech w/ 8xAF: Min 22 Avg 36.9 Crysis DX9 All High 0xAA 16xAF 1024*768 My Numbers: Avg 59.43 Tech Power Up w/ 0xAF: Avg 60.5 Crysis DX9 All High 4xAA 16xAF 1280*1024 My Numbers: Avg 27.75 Bit Tech w/ 8xAF: Avg 28.5 World In Conflict Max Everything 1600*1200 4xAA 16xAF DX9 My Numbers: Avg 35 Bit Tech w/ 1680*1050 4xAA 16xAF DX10: Avg 24.2 GRID Max Everything 1600*1200 4xAA 16xAF My Numbers: Avg 65.032 Bit Tech w/ 1680*1050 4xAA 16xAF DX9: Avg 66.5 So all the people complaining about drivers/comparable systems/poor installation/old windows etc can take their comments elsewhere since my PC is running the HD 4850 optimally. kthnxbye. Did the Crysis DX9 All High 1280*1024 4xAA 16xAF test with Cat 8.7 and the results are virtually the same. Did the World in Conflict 1600*1200 4xAA 16xAF test with the Cat 8.7 and the results are virtually the same. Will not continue benchmarking with Cat 8.7s since I feel its a waste of my time. Code:
1600*1200 4xAA 16xAF Min ---- Avg ---- Max BFG 9600GT ---- 19 ---- 32 ---- 51 ASUS HD 4850 ---- 21 ---- 35 ---- 52 % Improvement 9.4% Cat 8.7 on HD 4850 ---- 19 ---- 36 ---- 52 1280*1024 4xAA 16xAF Min ---- Max ---- Avg BFG 9600GT ---- 16.45 ---- 29.39 ---- 22.68 ASUS HD 4850 ---- 17.62 ---- 36.52 ---- 27.75 % Improvement 22.4% Cat 8.7 on HD 4850 ---- 16.50 ---- 36.59 ---- 27.84

atleast the TEchpower up review used a Core 2 duo processor.
i know that alteast crysis would benefit from a quad core, not too sure about others.

@kickasscop
Possible reasons of your results: your 9600GT is an insanely overclocked version while 4850 is running @ stock speed you havnt tested games with DX10 Testing on windows vista may produce different results P.S. you can see that 4850 is better than 9800GTX when AA is used in bit-tech's benches, so there's nothing to lose with this card in 16.5K P.S. do let me know when u wanna sell this ![]()
