the old faithful facebook has now permanently been changed to the new faceook.. its ugly, its pathetic, its slow, and its more demanding on the net connection , and with torrent downloding in the background, there is no way that the chat aplication will ever open, and online friends can never be found out, with the conection strength dropping even for 1 sec dc the servers... those with 512kb or above connections with less packet loss and pings will be ok,, rrest will curse and loath facebook dev team for their ass designing

Yes the new interface is quite slow and it takes ages for the main page to open curse these idiots for changing it and not keeping the option open for reverting back to the old one as in Hotmail and other e-mail providers like Yahoo!

Agreed to the above posts, they should have kept an option to revert back to the old design, but one thing we have to remember here: facebook is designed by people who have long forgotten the 512kbps days, its Mbps for them now, try facebook on a 4 MB line (I had a chance to do it over a corporate line) and see how the new design jets around with a click

still the design is ball scratchingly irritaing, and dumb..thats the worst part.. we all wait for nvidia driver to load in 2 mins, cuz atleast something productive and usefull comes out, but this is the fugliest page design ever..

P.S. I personally don't use such websites, never saw the point of using them except perhaps to keep in touch with friends living in other countries. :s

In terms of privacy features I prefer Facebook to Orkut any day any time although my purpose of using it is purely to be in touch as mentioned with relatives living abroad or friends for that instance.
