Dear all, there is a Wateem Promo just for two days (Friday and Saturday). Here is the breakdown:

Internet (512Kb with 4 GB limit) = 600 PKR/Month
Device Rent: 100 PKR/Month
GoGreen Telephone Line Rent = 90 PKR/Month

Device Security = 2000 PKR (Refundable)

Of course, you can change the Internet or telephone or both and the tariff will be adjusted but there are no advance device charges or prepaid-concept. Also, this means that you give 790 PKR + 2000 PKR and bring home Wateen WiMax. If you grow tired, simply take back the device and collect your 2000 PKR.

I contacted him and he informed me that there are installation charges as well. He said that he can reduce it to 500 Rs.

Guys Let me know what is your experience with Wateen Connection because in my area PTCL is not providing DSL services.

Right. So you just like me need to give Wateen a chance. Other morons have multiple options so they get to like/dislike ISPs...

My experience with Wateen from day one has been the best. The limits started to apply now and the force-purchase of telephone line hurts... apart from that, Wateen simply is as good as the rest.

Yesterday Kashif came to my home around 11:30pm on my request because of the electricity issue, thanks to him.

Ok I was not able to test the connection completely but I was able to connect to COD4 wateen server but punk buster kicked me out for some reason may be it was not updated or there was an issue with CD Key.

I downloaded different softwares and average downloading speed was 51kb/s, yet it did touch 112kb/s but that was not consistent. I did not test torrent speed. My room is in the corner of house so I am getting only one signal out of three. Let me inform you that in my room I get zero signal for PTCL vwireless even I live very near to PTCL exchange.

I will see if I am able to play COD4 flawlessly then I will keep the connection other wise......
Any ways it's good that finally I got something.

Fellows I need answers for following;

1. If I put this device on the second floor will that make any difference??
2. How will I pay next month? Will I get an invoice just like Link Dot Net send yyou an invoice?
3. What if I dont pay will they disconnect my line? and how they will charge me line rent and device rent? Will they deduct it from my refundable security?

Please assist.

My friend informed me that Wateen is going to offer this promo for every one and they are not going to take the installation charges but I paid 500rs.

Any ways! I am not sure that if all of you are aware of this or not, I am able to play COD4 on Wateen server without logging on to wateen internet connection (For Wateen WiMax every time we need to enter username and password for login and then we can use our internet) It seems that Wateen device is working as LAN.

you can connect to wateen servers through wimax without logging in as the connection to the servers is local if you are wateen user.

A company desperate to get customers is usually a good thing. But how is it that Wateen spent a long time planning their networks, studying the market, etc. and still managed to come up with a service that most people don't care for?
