PTCL Increases Tariff in new packages

PTCL today announced 3 "amazing" packages for its "valued customers"

In all packages local call rates are increased, now in peak hours you will be charged at 1.15/minute (including tax) & 0.575/minute in off peak hours. So those who still do maths on 5 minutes basis a five minute call is now Rs.5.75 and Rs 2.875.

Also 5000 minute for NWD calls in Pakistan package are reduced to 2500 minutes now.

Call rates of Rs. 4/hour (hour not minute) for local calls is no more available, that luxury is taken back so you can use Mobilink, Telenor or Ufone per hour packages to chat for hours (Excuse PTCL here).

Only goood thing is free voice mail and Call waiting (I guess call waiting was already free)

Pakistan Plus offers 2,500 minutes of nationwide calls for a fixed package charge of Rs. 199. The package also includes free voicemail and call waiting. Moreover, for convenience to customers, all subscribers who were on Pakistan Package as of 31st March 2008 have been shifted to Pakistan Plus with effect from 1st April 2008

I do hope they aren't forcing customers to adopt a package like they did with VPTCL, in which if consumers did not select a specific package within a few days, they will automatically be converted to an A package.

I once had a chance to visit HBL plaza in Blue Area here in Isb. I could see from the big glass window a young Sheikh (or Shiekh) was playing with a pencil for like 2 hrs & I could see he was quite bored there & had nothing to do. So I think such dumb @55 packages are "designed" by brilliant safarshi Pakistanis that PTCL hires.

but i saw the ad in dawn 2 days ago.. and i thought they were reduced..
seems like iam really out of touch.
