Asus Wireless Router WL-520g Configuration

TECHNICAL HELP REQUIRED, Cannot use my router!!!!
Problem.........
If I set the Ip addresses to automatic on all Pcs with router setup I
cannot display web address in internet explorer on main pc. If I disable
the router local area connection 3 the internet works again, if I type the
IP into IExplorer with local area connection 3 enabled I have the login
screen. Once logged in I have a message saying.....

INTERNET CONNECTIN DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER

We have an NTL cable connection! Do I need details from my ISP.

Hope some one can help as it's driving me mad!!!

well from what you've posted i think your complete setup is wrong

this is the proper way to connect your network
since your using cable internet you'll have a cable modem
the wire from the cable modem goes into the internet/wan port of the router.

now all pc's connect to the router through lan
no pc is connected to anything else, it isn't required
all ur pc's need to have get auto ip set

and it should work, sorry my net is really slow at the moment so i couldn't get the exact details about the router


btw from what you wrote i am assuming your cable modem is connected to a main pc and then from the main pc through a second lan card the router is connected and then all pc's are connected to the router, this is not the correct way to do it

post back with the results.
