Today, Microsoft will make Windows Vista Beta 2 available to the masses for downloading in three different languages. If you can’t download you don’t have to worry, there will be also an option to order it on DVD media later. The released build number will be 5384.4, same as the technical beta.

Today is a big step forward to let the end-user have a look at Microsoft’s upcoming operating system and of course to let them tryout all new features.

At the moment access to these download links is restricted. Microsoft will enable them for public download later!

you've been wondering what all the fuss was about ever since Microsoft announced a successor to Windows XP back in July of 2001, and weren't up all night downloading beta operating systems like we always seem to be, you might have missed the fact that Microsoft has released the Windows Vista Beta 2 to the public as a free download yesterday. Developers have already been spending some quality time with the build, and it looks like things are finally coming together for Microsoft -- but there are still plenty of compatibility woes, interface oddities, and just plain sluggishness in the OS. Some of the "change for change's sake" has a few reviewers riled up, and Vista is really not recommended for consistent exposure right now. But hey, it's free. There are a limited number of Beta slots, and once they're gone they're gone, so we recommend moseying on over before you miss out on the real deal and have to hit your local torrent tracker. You'll need a DVD burner to create an install disc of Beta 2 and the Release Candidate 1 when it comes out -- signing up for the beta gets you both -- or you can give Microsoft $10 for shipping and production costs and they'll send you the goods in 2 to 4 weeks (by which time they'll surely be readying the release of the next Vista beta build).

can someone plz confirm what's the official build version of this beta2. Since i already have keys in possession for this beta2, but am not able to download it right now due to very high demand, i'm gonna get this from hamidpk. Yaar if you're reading this, please do confirm whether the one you have is the one i'm looking for or is it the old one ??

Can you come to my place tomorrow with your HDD. I will copy the image to you hard drive.

And oh do get some stuff on your hard drive as well. Like *ahem* porn or something.......hmmmmmmmm just kidding.

I have given the DVD to Jaidi today so if you think he is near you (Which I believe he is), you can get the copy from him as well. What ever you will like.

i need empty dvd-r... thats all i ask... also, i'm not gonna give away the original activation serial number (alredy activated using it)... you'll have to find one... easy... but then you'll have to crack it too as after 14 days, it gonna lock-down...
