The mistake was made due to the need of renaming the new bios file w the name of the old one....

Too tired or too stupid but the mistake was done...and no it hang up as soon the first screen comes up. Perhaps bying a new bios chip will be only solution.

Bios corruption or improper BIOS is the worst thing in terms of softwrae that u can do to your system.

If u don't want to go to hafeez center try www.mvktech.net (I visited the site for vga card bios!)theree should be other bios update tutorials search google u should be having a floppy drive and if your board can boot from a flash drive that should be way better.

If the board doesn't even show display which is not the case trhen go to 3rd floor hafeez center there is a small shop I once visited near the stairs.

basically the problem here isn't your regular unsuccesful bios update nor curropt bios.. it's just the different ver.

latest motherboards are protected against unsuccesful and corrupt bios attempts but i don't think they would hold up against wrong ver.

Good Luck anyway

Regards,
Thyhammerr
