I can tell you why the product costs more ... look at its Transmit power ... 200 mW ... holy crap ... thats like a high power omni directional antenna right there ... Linksys/Dlink transmit at 28mW ... Linksys can be overclocked to 70 mW safely (above that there are heat issues) ... but a out of the box 200mW transmittion would practically guarantee an enormous range ... If used properly it would prob easily transmit to 1-3 km (line of sight) ... Ofcourse receiving end will require a atleast 10-15 dBM Directional antenna ...

Cheers

could u enlighten us with more knowledge Huzi? like any links which would help the users understand more about this?? i swear, over 4 years in the I.T industry and this is the first time iam hearing about "transmit power" . Weird. So you think this point should be important to mention in future wireless routers/repeaters ???

yep huzi is absolutely rite. And this capablity, inda open will provide a huge coverage area. (main hall/lobby area, an entire office floor) but since our reviews are mostly based on the home users point of view, its practicality and price wud be more suited to office environment (as mentioned in my review). But thanks for pointing it out. good job.

Plus it's a wireless access point / WDS / Repeater ... they are more expensive then wireless routers .
