Is the sms tax really gone?
Today i subscribed to Ufone's daily sms package (3.99) and 9 rupees and 40 paisas were deducted.

u should give a call to their customer care officer... max deduction should have been rs5

What i knew is that, before GST was 21%, & now the Govt. has reduced it to 19.5%. Its just for the Telenor, & i don't know about the other mobile operators.
Calls & sms are effected with it, but Easy load & scratch cards are not effected with the new tax. I don't know why ?

GSt has been reduced for every company.....even sms tax has not been implemented call ufone helpline and ask them about the charges

the reduction in GST is for CALLS only..
sms tax was a seperate thing, and since its no longer aplicable now, the packages are not affected. i renewed my warid sms craze package last 30, and it was the same charges as usual.. dont know about from july..
