ALLAH may bless you,
experts of dvd players or owners of brand names give their opinion that it is said that brand name like sony, panasonic, denon etc are very sensitive to scratchy dvds therefore they usually display" no disc" information. whereas chinese dvd plays these scratchy dvd nicely. i personally have xbox and asus dvd rom which generally don't play such dvd but my chinese dvd Akira feel no problem playing it

some models of sony and other brands might be sensitive but overall these branded player plays scratchy dvds easily.I have a philips dvd player and a Chinese dvd player. both play scratchy dvds quite easily.
